The Government is Shutting Down

Well, I’m on my way to Washington, DC this morning and the Government is rumored to be closing down.

The good thing about this is that traffic will be minimal, and zoo animals will be fed.

The bad thing is that soldiers and many others won’t be paid.

Another bad and perplexing thing is that Congress will!

As I understand this shutdown in very simple terms, the points of contention are:

Funding for Public Broadcasting

Planned Parenthood

Environmental Protection Agency

Some people will say that Abortion (Planned Parenthood) is a more important issue than people’s jobs.

I used to be a one issue voter, and I’m one no longer.

What do you think about this?
