To many around the world it’s a party called the Super Bowl, but to hundreds of thousands of child sex slaves, it’s one more step towards death.
This year there is a concerted effort towards curtailing it in a campaign called, “I’m Not Buying It!”
Even flight attendants are involved in training to spot possible traffickers and their victims to prevent them reaching their destination.
Not everyone is participating, however.
Roger Goodell, the NFL Commissioner, speaks to Peter King in the next issue of Sports Illustrated about investigating Pittsburgh Steelers‘ Quarterback Ben Roethlisberger. Apparently, he was found guilty of improper conduct with a twenty year old last year. This resulted in a six-game suspension which most consider in Roethlisberger’s past. It’s a mystery why Goodell chose to bring it up again.
What a great opportunity it could have been for Goodell to mention sex trafficking and put in a word against grown men buying and selling small children and teens for sex during the Super Bowl.
Here you’ll find more about “I’m Not Buying It” campaign.
