Arabic Coffee

"Turkish" coffee in the Arab village...

Image via Wikipedia

After the stations of the cross we stop at a Coffee shop in a center square right in Old Jerusalem. I order an Arabic coffee with cardamom! It’s delicious. One of the young pastors/boys really, takes a sip and decides it doesn’t taste much like coffee. Hmmmm.

It’s truly delicious..one of the best cups I’ve had. He asks if it’s “Turkish“? Well, yes and no. I guess Arabic would be about that!

We walk on and on it seems through the most wonderful streets of shops. No time to shop though, gotta get back. Poor Judith, she had to go past so many shops, but finally pulled a fast one, escaped and purchased some leather slip ons.

We end at dusk, in city center, exiting through a gate that is being renovated. So exhausting, more walking to be done to reach the bus. Can barely reach the diner table having had a nap for about half an hour. Dinner time is a great way of learning to know our tour group of eleven. Eleven good people, becoming friends.
